Serving Australia’s North-West for more than 15 years
You can trace our origins to the mid‑1990s when Aaron Evans and his partner, Kylie, moved to the Pilbara to work in the growing construction sector in the region. The rest is (our) history.
In 2006, Aaron and Kylie formed AK Evans Group so they could better serve their growing customer base. Their idea was to deliver end-to-end civil equipment hire and labour resourcing services. Today, AK Evans has grown to one of the largest suppliers for plant hire, machine operators, equipment servicing, and transportation in Western Australia. With our capability to operate, manage and maintain a fleet of more than 200 pieces of plant equipment, we are able to respond to the needs of civil construction projects of any size.
We are based in the Pilbara, with an office in Perth, and deliver our services Australia wide. While we grew our business, we became restless, knowing there were other ways we could support our community and contribute to a more renewable future for our planet.
Our company was formed on the belief that forming trusted, collaborative partnerships – and doing what we say – would not only serve us well but also benefit our customers and community. Across all our business divisions, safety is a core focus. We have solid protocols to support our ”work safe, home safe” mantra so every member of our team goes home in the same condition in which they arrive.
Established in 2013, Maramara WA is a majority indigenous owned Proprietary Limited company. This business joins Kurtarra Pty Ltd and AK Evans Group, two Pilbara-based businesses, to provide mining and civil construction services to the North-West of Western Australia and employment opportunities to local Indigenous people.
